Sandborn Roofs distributes perimeter and penetration seal system kits for all variations of Internal Floating Roof & External Floating Roof Systems including; Sandborn, Aluminum Pontoon and Steel Pan varieties.
Sandborn Roof perimeter seal kits are custom built to suit your tank tolerances and floating roof design, using a combination of wiper seals, foam log seals or channel hanger mini-shoe seal systems.

W-G Seals are custom designed for individual applications to ensure maximum seal efficiency, proper fit and ease of installation. W-G Seals offers a variety of primary and secondary seals for external floating roof systems.

W-G Channel Hanger Mechanical Shoe Primary Seals
The W-G Channel Hanger Shoe Seal provides a highly efficient and custom designed perimeter seal system for external floating roof systems. Each W-G Channel Hanger Shoe Seal system is custom fabricated to fit your exact floating roof dimensions, eliminating field drilling and rim modifications on site.
The Channel Hanger seal is characterized by overlapping shoe plates that form a tight fitting and continuous seal against the tank shell. Each shoe plate is hung from the rim attachment of the external floating roof by a heavy duty hanger arm assembly, and pushed tightly against the tank shell by compression pusher plates.
Channel Hanger shoe seals use an apron curtain fabric, such as the Mesa 6036 urethane coated fabric, to seal the gap between the shoe seal plates and the edge of the floating roof system. Each shoe plate extends below the stored liquid level to isolate any gap exposures caused by tank shell irregularities and minimize the potential emission losses.
The W-G Channel Hanger Shoe Seal includes a flexible compression plate secondary seal system with heavy duty extruded Nitrile wiper tip. The secondary seal plates are fitted with a gasket and bolted together to provide a tight yet flexible seal as the floating roof travels along the tank shell during operation. The secondary seal operates independently from the primary, and is available in both standard and low-profile designs.
W-G Channel Hanger Shoe Seals can be installed using Wax-Scrapers mounted at the bottom of the shoe plates, which provides additional shell cleaning on waxy product service, such as crude oils.
W-G Volume-Max Compression Seals
The W-G Volume-Max Compression Plate seal provides a custom-designed perimeter seal system for steel pontoon or double deck external or internal floating roof systems. Each Volume-Max Compression Plate Seal system is custom fabricated to fit your exact floating roof dimensions, eliminating field drilling and rim modification on site.
Compression plate seals are characterized by overlapping high compression plates that use a patented gasket seal, eliminating the need for secondary vapour seal fabric. The plates form the seal, providing a tight yet flexible seal, as well as allowing for easy inspection while in service.
Volume-Max Compression Plate seal systems include heavy duty extruded Nitrile wiper tips for superior performance and longevity.

W-G RIM Mounted Foam Dams
W-G Rim Mounted Foam Dams provides a custom-designed perimeter foam dam system for steel pontoon or double deck external or internal floating roof systems. Each W-G Rim Mounted Foam Dam is custom fabricated to meet NFPA standards and your exact floating roof dimensions, eliminating field drilling or loss of operating volume from most oversized stock systems.
W-G Rim Mounted Foam Dams are available in both Galvanized and Stainless Steel materials, and their tapered angle design channels fire foam directly into the perimeter Rim area.

Sandborn Roofs penetration seal kits are available in either single or double wiper seal with optional vapour curtain fabric. All Sandborn penetration seal assemblies include guide rollers to minimize seal wear during operation.
